For Patients

Fees & Cancellations

Our practice is committed to providing accessible specialist care, modern facilities with advanced clinical equipment, and well-trained clinical and administrative staff.

This page explains our consultation fees and billing arrangements for a variety of types of patients, as well as our cancellation policy, to ensure appointments remain available for others in need.

Please note: Depending on your private health policy, you may still be liable for out-of-pocket fees at your chosen hospital. Please check with your health fund if necessary.

Both private and public patients are charged Dr Manohar’s standard consultation fee when seeing him in his private clinic.

  • We do not bulk-bill in our private consulting rooms. If a public patient needs surgery, they will be charged our normal consulting fee at the clinic, and then public or self-funded surgery options will be offered.
  • DVA patients are not charged personally – we send the account directly to DVA on your behalf for reimbursement.

If you are a Medicare card holder, you will receive a portion of our consultation fee back as a rebate. We will submit the claim to Medicare on your behalf, and you will receive the Medicare rebate directly into your nominated bank account (usually within 1-2 business days).

Dr Manohar participates in the Known Gap billing scheme, which helps provide greater certainty about out-of-pocket medical costs for eligible privately insured patients undergoing treatment in hospital.

For most procedures performed by Dr Manohar, the out-of-pocket surgical fee is capped at $500. A higher gap may apply for more complex or longer procedures, and patients will be informed of any expected fees before proceeding with treatment.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give at least one business days’ notice so that we may offer the appointment time to someone else.

Appointments cancelled with less than one business days’ notice may require pre-payment to re-book, which will become non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled again with less than one business days’ notice.

If you have any respiratory symptoms (runny nose, sore throat or cough) please wear a mask to your appointment.
